15 November Progress Report | Yandere Simulator Development Blog

Hi!

After posting the Osana demo, I received a tremendous amount of feedback from the players. Many people enjoyed the demo, but I also received valuable feedback from players who spotted all kinds of flaws and issues with the game. I compiled a huge list of every issue people encountered with the demo and was determined to address every single issue. After 2.5 months, I am proud to say that I have finally finished handling all the major complaints I have heard about the demo!

The action of improving the demo included more than just bug fixes and quality of life improvements; it also required a complete reworking of some features and the addition of completely new features to the game. Actually the demo has changed so I feel like it has transformed from the original version to a completely new experience! I’m so happy with the current version of the demo that I want to make a YouTube video discussing the various ways player feedback directly changes and improves the game!

Besides talking about the ways in which the demo has evolved, there are other issues I would like to discuss in my upcoming video… “How will Amai be different from Osana?” I always prefer to communicate visually whenever possible, so I took the time to implement a playable script involving Amai to show how Amai’s week would be very different from Osana’s week:

Usually I post new builds on the 1st and 15th day of each month, but in this case, I don’t post a new build until I finish my next YouTube video. There are many different topics I want to discuss, so it may take longer than usual to prepare the video. In fact, depending on how things turn out, I might even decide to split it into two videos!

Click Continue Reading to see a preview of some new game mechanics that will be featured in the next build!

I will not write large paragraphs to explain what is happening in these screenshots; I’ll cover these in my next video, and most of them should already be self-explanatory:

I’m very eager to get out of this phase of the game’s development quickly, so I’ll be working full throttle on my upcoming video (s) over the next few days. I hope I can install it soon, but I’m guessing it might take a little longer than usual since there are loads of floors to cover.

Thank you for following the development of Yandere Simulator!
